Cora Voce
is open to skilled singers with a love of outstanding choral music. Members
are expected to be able to: · read music fluently · prepare your part prior to attending
rehearsals · sing your part independently · attend all five rehearsals the week of
performance: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday · attend additional pre-rehearsals (held 30
and 60 days prior to each concert) To
audition: send us your choral resume describing your choral and vocal
training, instruments you play (if any) and your performance experience. You
may include a recording of yourself if you like – the recording need not be
studio quality, a simple home recording will suffice. [A recording is not
required.] Email
or mail your musical resume (audition recording is optional) to: Upon
receiving your musical resume, Mr. Spitzer will contact you within two weeks
to arrange a phone interview, and subsequently to let you know whether you
will be invited to join the choir. Once
accepted, members are encouraged, but not required to: · make an annual tax-deductible donation to
the choir to cover the cost of music and help with the choir’s operating
expenses ($25 per concert) · help with tasks associated with choir
operations as your time and talent lead you · help promote Cora Voce by inviting
friends, colleagues and family to concerts
